I'm 34 and decide that I've had enough of the first world rat-race and decide for an adventure and gratification of the soul. What does one do when looking for gratification?

I quit my job, reasearched several locations in the world where I want to give a go at living. Rio de Janeiro Brazil came out on top of my list. I went to many travel sites and destination guides (thanks to Brazil Carnival.com).
